“Child-Initiated” Integrated curriculum

Child initiated education is a type of education philosophy which fully leveraging the child’s own innate curiosity, motivation and drive to cultivate independent learning style. It is sparked by an experience, observation or interest which gives children ownership of their learning under proper guidance from educator. Example could be:

1. the class activity is led or chosen by children instead of teacher.

2. We design games which starts from what children are interested in

3. We encourage children to communicate in the activity settings.

Independent learning and child-initiated activities are the foundation of GK schoolhouse’s education curriculum. Cultivating critical thinking, creativity, and perseverance in our students, we strive to instill an enthusiasm for learning, skills in collaboration and the confidence to engage in a fast changing world.
